Group status update for LabOps for the spring semester of 2025

Hello! LabOps here! If you’re new to what we do, here’s a quick rundown:

Our main job is to ensure the workshop is functional and tidy for everyone. We check all the equipment to make sure it’s ready for use, whether it’s our beloved coffee machine or our 3D printers. This semester, we’ve planned a board game evening for everyone to enjoy. You can sign up here.

Another key responsibility of LabOps is organizing courses. As always, we’ve arranged courses on 3D printing, Arduino and microcontrollers, and the Linux terminal and Raspberry Pis. We also had a blender course which was open for everyone. Additionally, we’ve had several laser cutter courses this year! These laser courses are for members only, but if you’re interested in using a laser cutter, you can apply to become a member of Hackerspace!

Looking ahead, we plan to focus on making Hackerspace more visible across NTNU, as we’re always looking for new members!
